These terms cover your use of Notes About: (the "Site"). Notes About: is based in the United Kingdom. By using the Site or buying a notebook, you agree to these terms.

What we sell

Notes About: sells access to digital notebooks: field notes on outdoor and adventure sports topics, written from personal experience. Each purchase includes:

A Single Notebook purchase gives lifetime access to one notebook. An All-Access Pass gives access to every current and future notebook for 365 days from purchase, as a one-time payment, not a recurring subscription.

Not professional instruction

Notes About: is a personal log of field notes and observations. It is not formal training, professional instruction, or certification of any kind. It is not a substitute for qualified, hands-on instruction from a certified professional in any activity discussed on this Site, including BASE jumping and paramotoring. These activities carry serious risk of injury or death. You are responsible for your own safety and decisions. Always seek proper certified training and use your own judgment before attempting any activity described in this Site's content.

Accounts

You log in with your email using a link or code sent to you. There's no password. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone with access to it can log in as you. You're responsible for all activity under your account.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout.

Immediate delivery and cancellation

All purchases give you instant access: your notebook unlocks online and your PDF is available to download as soon as payment completes. By completing a purchase, you ask us to start delivering this digital content immediately, and you agree that you lose your right to cancel once delivery has started. This is a standard condition for instantly-delivered digital content and applies to buyers in the UK and EU under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Pre-orders. Some notebooks can be pre-ordered before they're released. You pay the pre-order price when you order, and the notebook unlocks (online and as a PDF) on its release date, when we'll email you. Because nothing has been delivered yet, you can cancel a pre-order for a full refund at any time before release by emailing hello@notesabout.com. Once it's released and unlocked, the paragraph above applies.

Apart from cancelled pre-orders, we don't offer refunds once a purchase is complete. If something's gone wrong on our end, such as a duplicate charge or a technical fault, contact us at hello@notesabout.com and we'll sort it out.

Your license to the content

When you buy a notebook, we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to read and download it for your own use. You may not resell, redistribute, or publish the content, in whole or in part, without our written permission.

Our right to suspend access

We can suspend or end your access if we reasonably believe you've breached these terms, misused the Site, or made a fraudulent purchase, including a card chargeback.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the update.

Liability

The Site and its content are provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, Notes About: isn't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or from any activity described in its content, including but not limited to BASE jumping and paramotoring. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
